12 Axes Test — About

The 12 Axes Test is a free online political ideology and values test that explores your political views across twelve independent dimensions. It is designed for educational exploration and self-reflection.

What It Is

Unlike a traditional left-right political compass, the 12 Axes Test examines twelve separate areas of political thought. Each axis represents a spectrum between two opposing political positions. Your answers are scored independently across all twelve dimensions to produce a multidimensional political profile.

What It Is Not

The 12 Axes Test is not a scientifically validated psychological instrument. It does not diagnose political identity, predict voting behaviour, or prescribe political positions. Results should be understood as a reflection of how your stated preferences map to the scoring framework.

Attribution

This project is an independent implementation. The 12-axis framework is inspired by the broader tradition of multi-axis political tests, including the 8values and 9axes projects. Portions of the underlying concept derive from open-source political test projects distributed under the MIT license. Copyright and license notices are retained as required.
